You can still take day or weekend trips to the beach. Huelva and Cadiz are are easily reachable by bus and train. Other nearby beach towns are Sanlucar de Barrameda, El Puerto de Santa Maria, and Chiclana de la Frontera. Each of the these Spanish towns have pleasant beaches that people like for different reasons. Unless you have a car, however, you may have to plan for extra travel time.
